So it’s my first time to blog in our desperate attempt to update this thing more regularly. (Yeah, I know we’ve done a really sucky job at it this year)
But we’re over half way through the year, and though the first half was crazy, the second half is looking just as loaded, though we’ve decided getting married was enough of a hassle, we’re only gonna do that once.
We’ve been working for about two weeks now. Its a good environment, and Tim and I work alone together a lot which is fun. Its such a boring job that we’re forced to talk a lot. Tim and I have been going through every single Sunday school song we ever learnt to test the sound quality of the factory. All that noise sounds like a zookeeper let the monkeys loose.
I’m pretty keen to start uni. I’m looking forward to making new friends. That, and I really want to make a proper schedule like the nerd that I am. Colour coded and everything… 🙂 Yay!!!
Tim and I went out to, whats the name… Walyunga National Park I think, the other day just for a chill day. Its the first time we’ve been out together in a while so that was beautiful. We had lamb on bread for lunch. Yumm, and there was even water!!!! I love water!
The last month has been wetter than I ever imagined it could be in Perth, and I’m loving it. Although the entire state is sand, its not really a desert! Incredible, I know. Noone was more surprised than me.
All of my friends are away at the moment. A bunch of our youth guys are at the hillsong conference in Sydney. A friend of mine sent me a message this afternoon saying she saw a state of origin ad and thought of me… Pause that train of though for a moment for me to gloat… (No one over here gets it)
WE WON!!!!! WE FLIPPING WON!!! FOUR YEARS IN A ROW BABY! NOONES BETTER THAN US. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!!!
Okay, now thats out of my system… nope, wait…
IM SO PROUD TO BE A QUEENSLANDER!!! WE SURE SHOWED THEM. GOOD ONYA BOYS!
Okay, I think thats it for now. Back to what I was saying.
Another one of my friends is in New Zealand for a month, and yet another is in Thailand for two weeks. Kat & Nic are on hols for two weeks… Its just poor ol me all alone in Perth. Hmmmm, maybe thats why I’m blogging.
So yeah, I’m missing home and my fam heaps. I keep looking at flights, but it doesn’t look good at the moment. I have friends from the Valley coming over in September, so I’m keenly awaiting that. Fingers crossed my mum will come visit sometime too. It’s her birthday on Monday. Everyone say ‘Happy Birthday Mum’.
